I’m Trish Duke, a friend of Israel
and a confirmed travel addict...
(as well as having lived in five countries, on three continents).
After travelling extensively around Israel for over 16 years...
I still find it the most fascinating place on planet earth.
The booming tourist industry in Israel proves that Jews, Christians
and discerning travelers come here from all over the world!
In 2019 Israel had the most visitors since Independence in 1948!
I would love to share this very special place with YOU. (About Trish)
As a physical therapist, it worried me that some members of groups
traveling around Israel find that the cracking pace the guides set is
just physically too much for them!
That's why I designed tours at a more sensible pace for mature people...
based on four decades of clinical experience on caring for patients of all ages.
The tour leaders of regular tours are trying to ‘pack it all in’, with long days of running from one site to the next,
often with flights of high steps and prolonged times of standing to hear about each place.
However, if you are not able to keep up with the group physically, then it can cease to be a
pleasure and turn into an endurance race…with pain and health challenges.
Some people have lived on medication to get through a regular tour or had to miss a day
of the tour here and there.
That’s very disappointing.
After I talked to other tour leaders it was obvious to me that there was a very great need for niche tours
that set a more realistic pace for physically challenged travelers.
We have Israel's best tour guides who will inform and inspire you...
and keep the itinerary on track. They are fully licensed, very experienced Israeli guides.
Our local tour operator in Israel, Legends Tour and Travel, was established in 1996 and is a family run business.
Legends books our hotels, transport. 'meet & greet' services and site entrances etc.
Collectively, we have decades of service to ensure that you have the best possible tour!
Many couples or friends who like to travel together have differing physical abilities,
therefore our tours are designed to cater for those differences...so no-one is
frustrated by what they can or can't do so everyone can all enjoy The Land!
Your physical challenge could include arthritis, heart conditions, diabetes, cancer remission,
seniors, MS, respiratory issues, visually impaired, post stroke etc...
or just less fit than you’d like to be!
Some people may not be physically challenged, but just don’t want extremely full day tours,
preferring to go at a gentler pace. When the slower walkers are tired, they can have a coffee
break and then in some places, the guide can take the more active travelers further...that works well.
Our tours are different to regular tours as we minimize steps, rough ground, standing
and how far you have to walk.
Hourly comfort stops are planned...and can be requested.
We understand 'ancient plumbing'!
We usually have a mix of couples, elderly parent/adult children, solo travelers.
Note: Single supplements on other tours are usually 90-100% extra.
Ours are approx. only 25% extra!!
All cultures are warmly welcomed.
I'm sure you are aware of the biased and anti-Semitic coverage in the media.
You (or your family) may be wondering if it's safe to go to Israel.

![]() ![]() 85 year old Ivy (far right) managed our tour with a walker! Here she is on the right listening to the guide at Ein Gedi national park. She wrote to Trish a long letter afterwards that included.... "I just want you to know that I had the most wonderful time due to your caring and the amount of dedication and fore-thought that you had put into organizing the whole tour. It was all so memorable and a lifetime experience! I was amazed at the fulfillment I felt when we drove into Jerusalem... as if my whole being had been blessed and opened up... Our very special end to the tour was planting a tree in memory of my daughter Zoe."
